Cutting Edges
A cutting edge’s job is to facilitate material removal, increase efficiency, and protect the more expensive main body of the equipment (like a bucket, plow, or moldboard) from wear. Cutting edges are made from durable materials like through-hardened or boron steel and come in various shapes (single bevel, double bevel, serrated) to suit specific applications, such as abrasion resistance in quarries or surface protection on paved roads. They are often designed as replaceable, sacrificial wear parts to minimize maintenance costs and downtime.
